Heather Thompson
MBA, CHRL

Director/Co-Founder

Heather Thompson is a high energy, strategic-minded professional with a passion for action and excellence.  She has impressive business acumen and a robust understanding of the North American Nuclear industry resulting in an extensive network spanning across utility and supplier lines.

A natural leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, Heather’s tenacious drive coupled with her innovative problem solving abilities make her a force to be reckoned with when it comes to tackling business challenges big and small. Heather has a proven track record of success in strategy development, implementation and business improvement through innovation, with a number of measurable successes under her belt. She is committed to delivering comprehensive and tactical solutions, that result in long-term and sustainable value to her customers.

With over 12 years of progressive management experience Heather’s past roles have crossed organizational boundaries and levels. She has delivered successful improvement projects resulting in time and cost savings equating to millions of dollars, developed and deployed new product and service offerings resulting in multimillion dollar long-term contracts and has worked with many different software developers leveraging her extensive work process knowledge to conceptually design software solutions delivering improvement through technology.

Heather holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Graduate Diploma in Management from Athabasca University. She also has an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Business Administration with a specialization in Industrial Organizational Psychology and Human Resources Management from the University of Waterloo.  Heather is a Certified Human Resources Leader and member of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario. Currently, Heather is working towards her Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation through the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.

David Thompson
CET, CBCO, CMM1

Director/Co-Founder

David Thompson is a self-motivated professional with over 20 years of experience in all facets of Construction Management and Municipal Government Operations. David has gained a surplus of knowledge and skills through his experience in his past roles as Site Superintendent, Project Manager, Building Science Technologist, Chief Building Official, By-Law Enforcement Officer and Fire Prevention Officer.

David has a proven track record of successful oversight, leadership and completion of multi-trade, multi-million dollar projects; but also understands the unique needs of the homeowner and tactfully applies his skills and knowledge at an individual level.

David’s robust knowledge of construction coupled with his training as a Certified Municipal Manager (CCM1) and his detailed understanding of Building and Fire codes; by-laws and regulations, give him a competitive edge in understanding and navigating the pre-construction environment and the sound ability to oversee the entire construction process from start to finish.  Furthermore, David is well versed in applying his experience in organizational transformation to help municipalities complete comprehensive organizational reviews in order to optimize their service offerings and operational delivery.

David holds a Graduate Diploma in Management from Athabasca University and will be completing his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in September 2019. He has a diploma in Construction Engineering Technology from Conestoga College, is a Certified Engineering Technologist and active member of the Ontario Association of Certified Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).  He is a Certified Chief Building Code Official (CBCO) and an active member of the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA).
